The Arc's Residential Service Programs

The Arc's Residential Services Program consists of a wide range of services to meet the needs of the developmentally disabled, including 15 group homes, In Home Support Services, one 12 unit transitional living apartment complex, and supported living services for those living independently in the community. These programs feature 24 hour staffing (except Supported Living) and serve individuals with mild to severe disabilities. Examples of the services provided in these facilities include residential habilitation training (self-care and daily living skills), behavior management, and transportation.

The goal of The Arc's Residental Services Program is to serve all segments of the population with developmental disabilities, however, we are specialized in serving people with severe behavioral problems and Prader-Willi Syndrome.

Our admission policy is to serve anyone with approved and adequate funding for services. There is no waiting list for services as long as there is a funding source (Agency for Persons with Disabilities Medicaid, private insurance, private pay, etc.).

In Home Support Services

The Arc's Supported Independent Living Program offers adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to choose where, how, and with whom they want to live. We assist people in establishing and maintaining their own homes in the community. We provide support in practical and familiar everyday activities such as shopping, cooking, personal care, banking, and socialization. Through supported living, individuals are able to lead everyday lives in the community.

The primary focus of the Supported Living Program is to support the individual's growth based on the individual's needs, choices, and capabilities. The program is tailored to accommodate the living standards of each participant in the program. A Supported Living Coach assists with living skills development. At least one Supported Living staff member is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays.

Companion Services

The Arc offers companion services to those that qualify for it. This service improves the lives of those that function highly enough to live alone.

Companionship allows these individuals to learn new life skills be further their integration as an active contributing member of the community.
